WHO ARE WE??

Well… let’s see… it all started as a twinkle in our parents eyes sometime in the 19???,

just kidding.

Well, here goes…. We moved to Hudson, Florida from Franklin, North Carolina in 1997 and began working in the medical field. In December 1998 we decided to quit smoking and you know what happens when you quit smoking, of course… weight gain. In early 2000 we decided that we needed to do something about our weight and tried an herbal supplement. It worked wonderfully for us and we were successful in our weight loss plan. In June 2000 we decided to let others know how well it worked and became distributors of the supplement. We started out with one little table in a USA Fleamarket selling only one product… the herbal supplement.

I guess we got bored so we decided to add a little more to our plate and began making custom beaded magnet jewelry and added a table. Things went pretty well and we decided to move into a booth with a locking door… boy what a relief. It was a pain in the butt to put all that jewelry away at night just to take it back out the next morning. We worked our weekday jobs in the medical field for approximately two years while working the flea market on the weekends. We got very tired of working such long hours for someone else and decided to dedicate all of our time to our own businesses. Tina began working at home doing medical transcription so she could be home with the children and Durand slowly transitioned into working the flea market full time. With typing 90 hours per week, the transcription got to be a bit much so Tina quit doing the typing and joined in on the flea market venture. In 2002, we branched out and opened a smoke shop in the flea market and sold tobacco products, incense, body jewelry and novelties. We had so many people ask if we did piercing since we sold the jewelry that we decided that once given the chance, we would expand the shop to include a tattoo and piercing studio. Things just grew from there and in April 2004 we opened the tattoo and piercing studio and we are thrilled to offer MicroDermal Anchoring as well! For quite some time we had wanted to open a second, larger location. This would allow us to have a larger diversity of inventory and more room for the tattoo and piercing studio, but would also allow us to control the days and hours of operation instead of just Friday – Sunday 9-4.

Well, the building that we had been looking at for quite some time, wishing it would become available finally did and in October 2005 we opened location #2.

And so the new saga begins…..
